Driving from the UK is relatively easy, taking around 9-10 hours from Calais. Current tolls are approx 80 euro each way. Snow chains are advisable for the last part of the journey in winter (they are essential for much of the season).

From Moutiers follow RN 90 signposted Bourg-St-Maurice. From Bourg follow RN 90 towards Moutiers. Approx 7 kilometres from Bourg, turn right for Landry and Peisey-Nancroix (left if coming from Bourg).
There is an Aire de Chainage about 300 metres on the right before the bridge where you may need to put on snow chains in winter. The police usually put up a sign if this is the case. Drive straight through Landry across the level crossing and head for Vallandry & Peisey signs. Road climbs steeply out of Landry and you keep straight on until you reach Nancroix. Straight through the village, past the Elf petrol station until you come to a junction, with a bar/hotel in front of you where you head left for Vallandry and Plan-Peisey.
When you arrive in Vallandry, don't go straight on under the pretty lights, follow the road round the hairpin and the road leading to Crêt de L'Ours is the first on the left.
The quickest entrance to the building is via the underground car-park. It is very easy to miss the turning (left), especially as helpful snow-ploughs pile up a metre of snow which hides the driveway down! It is the second garage entrance, not the first. If you are driving in, it is best to reverse, otherwise it is almost impossible to get into the parking space at the end on the right (the one with no door). Use the door into the building and unload skis, boots and boards into the casier à ski immediately through the door on the right.
Vallandry is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes from the airports at Geneva, Grenoble and Lyon. Chambéry airport is 1 hour 30 mins. Easyjet, Flybe, Ryanair, Jet2, amongst others, offer cheap flights from a wide range of UK airports. Visit their websites, or try a central provider of information like

Minibus pick up can be arranged - we can put you in touch with English operators, based in the resort, who can organise transfers from Geneva, Lyon, Chambery or Grenoble. Prices can be negotiated directly with them, but the going price is usually around 70-80 euro per head return. Our advice is to hire a car - it works out better value if there are 3 or more of you to share the cost.
Car hire from the airport is an option and means that Bourg St Maurice can be easily reached. There are good regular bus services from both airports to Bourg-St-Maurice. If a group of you are travelling - car hire makes good economic sense.
Eurostar run trains from London St Pancras to Bourg-St-Maurice and Moutiers during the ski season.
For families, the overnight service with couchette maybe a little more relaxing than the nine hour drive with children! Bourg is a 25 minute taxi ride from Vallandry, approximate cost 50-60 euros. There are plenty of people carrier taxis available.
